ISD is looking for an experienced Embedded Engineer to join a project focused on a complex embedded systems solution used for animal health management, where responsibility, reliability, and ownership in delivering stable, production-ready systems are key.
What are you going to do:
• Develop and maintain firmware for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers (STM32 series), ensuring reliability and long-term maintainability.
• Design, optimize, and maintain C++ applications running on embedded Linux with a strong focus on system stability and performance.
• Optimize system I/O performance to achieve efficient and predictable behavior.
• Take responsibility for system components throughout their lifecycle, including post-release technical support and issue resolution.
• Develop, code, test, and troubleshoot system software components in close collaboration with hardware teams.
• Analyze, monitor, and continuously improve system efficiency, robustness, and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate closely with hardware design and development teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Contribute to software quality assurance activities, including testing, optimization, and reliability improvements.
What we are looking for:
• 3+ years of experience with the C programming language.
• Strong C++ development experience in Linux environments.
• Proficiency with debugging tools (e.g., GDB, JTAG/SWD debuggers).
• Experience with build systems (CMake, Make).
• Solid understanding of computer architecture, programming languages, and interface technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking systems, and peer reviews.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a responsible approach to ownership and delivery.
• Advanced English level.
